I admit it.
I’ve been fiddling with the website. However, it wasn’t intention that set me to the task, and it wasn’t willingly undertaken. BAM! Something broke, for no reason.
At least when the tire blows out on the car, you can reflect on it and think: Well, maybe I should have aired that thing up when it looked low, mighty low. Edge of flat. Didn’t do it, and – BLAM! Blow Out.
With computers and their related ilk, there may be a disguised reason for what happens. (It may well be apparent to computer people, a group to which I belonged back when keyboards and monitors were fabricated from wood.)
At least the blank white screen has been eliminated. Surprisingly, much of the content survived the crash of the website. Of course, that isn’t necessarily a good thing.
You’ll have to bear with me while I try to understand the new configurations involved in the restart. Since tech support was no support, the job fell to me and I managed to resurrect the site while smashing the old version to smithereens. Collateral damage.
The new WordPress is – no doubt – a much improved platform, but it only slightly resembles the old one.
And the stock photos may take a little time to replace.
It can’t be too long, though. We’re working on a Q&A session with suspense author Taylor Stevens to be posted here on the shop-blog in the coming weeks. Her latest installment – The Catch – is to be released in July.
For now, I’ll be fiddling away at the site trying to get it back in a semblance of order. In the meantime… those things in the nightsky I’m thanking?
The Lucky Stars.
Come Visit! (The store didn’t crash, just the website!)
